Taiwan und das Schanghai-Massaker

Workingclasshistory auf Instagram (vgl. auch Socialist Alternative): On this day, 12 April 1927, the Shanghai massacre began, with thousands of communists, workers, and students murdered or “disappeared” by the nationalist Kuomintang [har har] nationalist movement led by Chiang Kai-shek. The Chinese Communist Party (CPC) and the Soviet Union, as well as some anarchists, had joined forces with the Kuomintang against domestic warlords and foreign imperial powers to try to unite and modernise China. The Soviet Union had also trained and armed Kuomintang soldiers.

Over the following year, more than three hundred thousand people would be killed in the Kuomintang’s anti-communist purges. Trade unions and strikes were banned.

Wenn es heute um Taiwan geht und die Position der VR China zum Thema, sollte man dieses Ereignis immer berücksichtigen.

Ich habe mir nicht die Mühe gemacht, andere Quellen wie solidaritaet.info einzuschätzen. („Wir sind Teil der weltweiten sozialistischen Organisation Komitee für eine Arbeiterinternationale. Aber diese „Befreiungsfront“ hat sich schon so oft gespalten, dass die es vermutlich selbst nicht mehr wissen, wofür sie sind.
