Cheer up, Deutschland oder: Don’t fear the Wurst

Ein lesenswerter Artikel im Economist, zudem mit suffisanter Ironie geschrieben und selbstredend in brilliantem Englisch: „Board a train with a group of Germans and one will soon start grumbling about some minutia: the temperature, the disorderly storage of luggage, a brief delay. The same habits undergird Germany’s industrial success. Its factories are staffed by conscientious workers who treat each blemish as an abomination, honing and re-honing production processes until everything is in Ordnung (order).“

    Der Text ist nach meiner Erfahrung nicht ganz richtig. In Ordnung ist der Standard in german production“. „Until everything is nearly perfect“ trifft es besser. Nearly weil man noch n bisschen Luft nach oben haben will.

    Er gilt auch nur für die sog. Stammbelegschaften, wg. dem Kündigungsschutz.

    Der Dativ ist dem Genitiv ihm sein Tod.
